A proposal from the Community Empowerment Network incorporating bio-diesel was selected as a one of 78 finalists in the 2005 World Bank Development Marketplace Competition. The DM 2005 competition received more than 2,600 proposals, which were reviewed by over 150 environmental experts both within and outside the World Bank.  We will have an opportunity to present their projects to the jury and the general public on May 24-25, 2005 at the World Bank's Washington D.C.
